We want, and must, know our customers

As a pension provider, Danica is subject to the Danish Act on Measures to Prevent Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism (the Danish AML Act). The Danish AML Act applies to businesses carrying out financial transactions, and its purpose is to curtail the risk of money laundering and financing of terrorism.

Therefore, we need your help to ensure we have the right information about you so that we can be absolutely sure that we are dealing with the right person – even if you are already well known to us.

Q&A

  • Why are we asking you to provide information?

The AML Act requires us – as a pension provider – to know our customers. This means that we are required to know their identity and their address. In some cases, we also need to know the origin of their payments. In addition, we must check the information we receive from our customers. The Act also applies to children.

  • How can I document who I am?

You can document your identity by:
Go to Netpension and log on netpension, and confirm your name and CPR-number with MitID.

If you do not have MitID, you must:
Send us a copy of your passport or driving license. The proof of identity must be valid (not expired) and legible.

  • I am already a customer - why do I need to send information?

Under the AML Act, we are required to regularly update the information we hold about our customers. Accordingly, we may ask you to submit information if, for example, you move abroad or acquire a new product from us.

We may also need information about individual incoming or outgoing payments. If we need information from you, we will contact you and let you know which information we need.
