At the end of November 2021, we sent you a letter to inform you about the changes to your pension scheme or insurance covers. The changes will take effect automatically at the beginning of 2022, so you do not have to do anything.
You can see the new conditions here (in Danish). The insurance conditions are available in Danish only. When the changes have taken effect, you will find the new conditions and terms of agreement in Netpension.
You have received a letter from us because we are required to notify you of any changes to our insurance conditions and terms at least one month before the changes take effect.
This applies even if your insurance has been agreed with your employer and you cannot terminate it yourself.
No, the changes will not affect your reported claim if we assess that you were entitled to a payout from your insurance covers before the changes took effect – even if the payout takes place in 2022.
No, the changes will not affect the loss of earning capacity benefits we currently pay out to you, as they are based on the conditions applicable at the time when you were awarded benefits. The changes will only apply to you if and when you recover and your benefits cease.
In the letter we state that in connection with public re-employment or resource programmes, you will now receive an increase in your benefits of up to an amount corresponding to what you would receive in public benefits. This means that when we determine your amount of benefits, we will apply a slightly lower increased benefit amount if you enter a public re-employment or a resource programme and are not a principal wage earner.
In case of long-term illness, you will typically receive public sickness benefits for the first 22 weeks. After this period, you will enter a public re-employment or resource programme under which you will receive public resource programme benefits instead. If you have cover for loss of earning capacity, the public authorities will offset your public resource programme benefits on a DKK-for-DKK basis. This means that while in a public re-employment or resource programme, you will not receive public benefits if you have cover for loss of earning capacity with Danica Pension.
To compensate for the public authorities’ offsetting, we will pay out the amount of public resource programme benefits which you would be entitled to if the public authorities had not offset the amount. You will therefore receive an additional amount on top of your loss of earning capacity benefits, which may be up to 80% of your salary.
Going forward, this additional amount will constitute the amount of public resource programme benefits you would otherwise be entitled to. The amount depends on whether you are a principal wage earner (DKK 186,840 per year) or a non-principal wage earner (DKK 140,592 per year).
Please note that we pay out a maximum amount corresponding to your previous salary less labour market contribution.
