Leave of absence

Are you considering taking parental leave, going on a long trip or otherwise taking a break from your job? If you have a company pension scheme with us and decide to take a leave of absence, your existing insurance covers will continue unchanged for a period of up to one year. This applies whether your leave of absence is paid or unpaid, as long as your amount of savings can cover the expenses.

Your employer will typically notify us of your leave of absence, so you will generally not have to do anything. We will also send you a letter with information about what you should do.

When your leave of absence ends, we will deduct your insurance expenses during the leave. We will also send you an overview of your pension scheme.

If you shorten your leave of absence, your employer can resume your pension contributions at any time.
